A Healthy Cocktail to Make Right Now for Your Staycation

Staying in for a few days or weeks? Here’s a healthy cocktail to make right now for your Staycation. The outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has many people on edge and rightfully so. Many cities across the US and the world are placing curfews to help stop the spread of this virus. With all the uncertainty, I’m choosing to stay in as much as possible, even if I’m not showing any signs. I figured it’s best not to risk picking up anything along the way. While I’m indoors, I’m drinking this immunity boosting, “Staycaytini”, spicy cocktail and making the best of it.

Healthy Cocktail Benefits

This Staycaytini cocktail is a spicy martini made with turmeric, ginger and habanero peppers! As you may already know, turmeric is an anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, cancer fighting, anti-allergy spice and is a immunity booster. Ginger helps ease colds & flus, relieves nausea, and it’s also anti-inflammatory among other things. The capsaicin in habanero peppers helps with heart health, metabolism, allergies and colds & flu as well. So here you have three powerful spices that will have you feeling amazing! It’s so delicious you may forget you have a alcoholic cocktail in hand – just don’t drink too many!

Low Carb & Low Calorie

This healthy cocktail has many benefits as you can see and another plus is it’s low in calories, sugar and carbohydrates! I used agave syrup which is low on the glycemic index, meaning it doesn’t spike sugar levels much. If you’re avoiding sweets all together, you can substitute the syrup for Stevia liquid drops or powder sweetener. I also used an organic Prairie vodka.

Staying in is really the best way to ensure that germs aren’t spread or picked up. If you’re spending a lot of time indoors, make this spicy “Staycaytini” now, you’ll be happy you did and may be a bit healthier too. I’ve also made other spicy cocktails you may want to try. My Mamajuana cocktail is one of the most searched on Hot Lollies and this Spicy Paloma is my Summer go-to cocktails. What’s your favorite healthy cocktail recipe? Please share below!!
